The problem with priests. The problem is that a priest needs to be holy in order to stand before God - though there is "none righteous." And if such a perfect person existed, he couldn't very well represent us sinners! As we turn the pages of the book of Hebrews we're challenged to think deeply about the Old Covenant system of mediators and sacrifices, and we'll come to the conclusion that it's just not adequate.
