And then Jesus said something truly revolting. Cannibalism. Isn't that what the Lord was talking about? Only recently He was providing tasty fish sandwiches - and now He's telling us to eat His flesh and drink His blood? What in the world?! It would take an Israelite with a very strong stomach to even stick around to hear the explanation of that. And that reaction was exactly what Christ wanted.
