The Day of the Lord is a day of wrath... but "God has not destined us for wrath." The more closely we read Paul's letters to the church in Thessalonica, the more obvious it becomes that there are two endings to this story. Jesus will intervene twice more in human events, as this age draws to a close. Both of these are in the future, but one may happen at any time. And that should cause us to live differently.
