There's a lot of "reckoning" in the book of Romans. God reckoned Abraham's faith as righteousness; and Christians are to reckon ourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God. We'll need to understand what this old-fashioned-sounding word means. It doesn't mean to "pretend," as some have said; this is as real as it gets, and as important as anything could be.
