A friend of mine once received a Bible, and the giver had inscribed, "This Book will keep you from sin, or sin will keep you from this Book." Inside that Christian cliché there's a powerful truth: No decision stands alone. Each victory over temptation, or surrender to it, forms part of a pattern. And it's either getting easier for the Holy Spirit to work in us, or harder. From the book of James, here's the conclusion of Jim's sermon, Winning Over Temptation.
