When the angel Gabriel appeared to Daniel in his prayer room, he brought good news, and bad news. I'm sure you can think of many times in Scripture when God sent a word of judgment and a message of mercy in the same envelope. He's not going to sweep our bad behavior under the rug; but He does have better things in store for us.
