Satan wants to erode our hope. The Lord's return is the "blessed hope" that may be the only thing keeping us going, sometimes. And however tough we have it, the Thessalonians certainly had it tougher. It was critical, Paul knew, that they hold on to their confidence. And so he wrote to them, and to us.
