The Patriarchs despised Joseph and his dreams - before they bowed to him. Israel rejected Moses - before they revered him. Do you see a pattern here? When the Jewish leaders spurned and killed their Messiah, they were acting according to type. And if the symbolism holds, they will one day bow before Him.
