When we see someone sacrifice his own needs for the needs of others, we call that, "noble." God calls it, "normal." "Regard others as more important than yourselves." It's not a difficult sentence to translate - it just seems impossible to do! Sure, we know of mothers who subordinate their wants for the sake of their children; soldiers who give their lives for their country. But these are extraordinary cases. How can we live for others all the time? Jim will give us the answer in the final part of his sermon called, Jesus' Humility and Exaltation.
