A lot of churches are too "nice" to tell the truth. We should always "speak the truth in love," of course, but as soon as we claim that truth exists, and we know what it is, and that other things are false - we meet with resistance in a world of lies. On Friday Jim started teaching from 1 Timothy, Chapter 3, where Paul uses three analogies to show us what the church is, and what it's supposed to do. It is God's "house," God's "assembly," and "the pillar and support of the truth."
