Watching Jesus Finish His Mission

Prelude To The Book Of Revelation

We don't need a meteorology degree to tell us a storm's brewing. But can we read the signs of the times? The people of Jerusalem had all the information they needed to recognize and hail their Messiah. The prophets had even told them when to expect their Savior and King, but they weren't paying attention. Are we paying attention? That's the burden on Jim's heart these days. Are we in danger of not being ready? Today Jim begins a new study, with this message called, Prelude to the Book of Revelation.

How the Father Will Exalt The Son

When John saw Jesus again after 60 years, He looked...different! My old school buddies and I don't look the same as we did decades ago, but not for the same reason John fell on his face when he was reunited with Christ. It wasn't time that had changed the Lord's appearance: it was His glorification. Today on Right Start we set out on our transformational trek through the book of Revelation, after a quick stop in Philippians. Here's Pastor Jim to open his message, How the Father Will Exalt the Son.

The Gold Standard

Is the book of Revelation really all that important? Among the divinely-inspired writings we collectively call the Holy Bible, John's Revelation stands apart. Some have said it's so different that it doesn't belong in the Canon; many more choose to just skip it or skim it in their daily reading. Today Jim will help us understand why this book is, as he puts it, the "capstone" of Scripture, and the "supreme measuring stick of truth." His new message is The Gold Standard. Here's Pastor Jim with today's Right Start.

Come Up Hither

What did Jesus mean when He said to one church, "I will keep you from the hour of trial?" We're moving quickly so far through the book of Revelation. Today we'll hover in chapter 3, and the Lord's promise to spare the church in Philadelphia from the time of testing that will "come upon the whole world." And, as we almost always do, we'll go wherever the text leads us. So Pastor Jim will touch on some important issues concerning Jewish-Christian relationships, prompted by another promise of Christ. Jim's message today and tomorrow is, Come Up Hither.
